Our commitment
GRIZZLY BEAM LLC wants this website to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
The website has not yet been audited by an independent accessibility specialist, so we do not claim full conformance. This statement describes what we have done so far and what we know still needs work.
What we have done
- Every page declares its language, has a single main heading and uses headings in a logical order.
- Every image has a text alternative, or is marked as decorative so that screen readers skip it.
- Every form field has a visible label. If a field is filled in incorrectly, the error message is shown next to it and announced with it.
- Links, buttons and form fields show a visible outline when you reach them with the keyboard.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, the website turns off its animations, including the animated 3D logo at the top of the home page.
- The map on our Contact page has a text alternative with our full street address, and the address is also written out in the footer of every page.
- The cookie banner and its settings can be used with the keyboard alone, and can be closed with the Escape key.
- Everything on the website loads from our own server, so no third-party widget can interfere with assistive technology.
Known limitations
- There is no "skip to main content" link yet, so keyboard users move through the menu before reaching the content of each page.
- Some sections of the home page move and reveal as you scroll. With reduce motion turned on they stay still, but without it they may be harder to follow for some visitors.
