Our commitment to privacy
Grizzly Beam LLC takes your privacy seriously. To help protect it, this page explains how we handle information: what we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it.
This website is operated by GRIZZLY BEAM LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("we", "us"), 7901 4th St N Ste 300, St. Petersburg, FL 33702, United States. We decide how and why the personal information described here is used, which makes us its controller.
This policy covers https://grizzlybeam.com/ and every page on it, and any email or phone contact you have with us. It does not cover the websites we build or maintain for our clients; see Client data we handle for our clients.
What information we collect
We collect the information you send us through the forms and pages on our website. You have to choose to give it to us, deliberately and of your own accord. Grizzly Beam LLC does not gather it without your knowing decision to share it.
The information you give us may include your name, email address and phone number, along with details that relate to your project, the services you need, and billing. We may also collect information during phone calls or email exchanges with members of the Grizzly Beam LLC team.
We may also collect information about third parties where it relates directly to you, to your project, or to the services you asked us for.
Forms on our website
None of our forms is required in order to use the site. Each one sends only the fields listed below, together with the name of the form and the address of the page you sent it from.

Booking a call
When you book a call through our "Book a call" window, we collect your full name, business email, company website, and, if you choose to give them, your phone number and a comment. We also record the time you picked, the time zone your browser reports so that we can show you times in your own zone, and the page you booked from.
Your booking is stored in our own database. We then add the call to our Google calendar with you as a guest and a Google Meet video link, which means Google sends you a calendar invitation, and we email you a confirmation with the video link. The booking window also lets you download a calendar file for the call.
Free website audits
When you ask for a free website audit, a member of our team reviews the website address you gave us. To do that we look only at what is publicly available on that website, in the same way any visitor to it could.
Information collected automatically
Web server logs. Like every web server, ours records each request it receives: your IP address, the date and time, the page or file requested, the response, the referring page where your browser sends one, and your browser type. We use these records to keep the site running, to find faults and to spot abusive traffic.
Booking and form service log. The service that receives our forms and bookings keeps its own log. It records the email address and website given with each booking and form, and the IP address of any submission it rejects as spam.
Browser session storage. The site keeps a single value, gbv, in your browser's session storage. It only means "the opening animation has already played in this tab", so that the animation does not replay on every page. It identifies nobody, is never sent to us or to anyone else, and your browser erases it when you close the tab.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking pixels, session recording, chat widgets or fingerprinting, and the site loads no fonts, scripts or images from other companies' servers.
Please do not send us sensitive information
We do not ask for, and do not want, government ID numbers, financial account or card numbers, health information, precise location, biometric data, or information about racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, union membership, sexual orientation or criminal records. If you send any of this through a form or an email anyway, we will delete it once we have understood your request.
How we use the information we collect
We use the information we collect to deliver our digital services to you. That can include, among other things, website support, customer service, email updates about your project, and contacting you directly about your project and our services.
We also use it to:
- reply to your inquiry and prepare the free website audit you asked for;
- schedule, confirm and hold the calls you book;
- invoice for our work and keep the accounting records the law requires;
- keep the website and our systems working and secure;
- comply with the law and protect our legal rights.
Protection against automated abuse. Our forms and booking window contain a hidden field that people never see; submissions that fill it in are treated as automated and discarded. We also limit how many submissions can come from one IP address in a given period, and our server temporarily blocks, for one hour, an IP address that keeps sending an unusual number of submissions.
Email address check. When you send a form or book a call, our service looks up the domain of the email address you entered, the part after the @, to confirm that it can receive mail. If the domain does not exist or accepts no mail, we ask you to check the address. The check reads only public domain records and never contacts your mailbox.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with outside parties for their own purposes. To run our business we rely on a few service providers that handle your information on our behalf:
- netcup GmbH operates the servers in Germany on which our website, our booking and form service, its database and our server logs run.
- Google Workspace, provided by Google LLC, carries our email and our calendar. Form submissions and bookings are delivered to our inbox there, booking confirmations are sent from it, and your call is added to our Google calendar with a Google Meet link.
- Telegram, a messaging service, delivers notices of new call bookings to our team. Each notice contains the details you entered in the booking window. Form submissions are not sent to Telegram; they reach us by email only.
Beyond that, we share your information only when you ask us to and approve it, so that we can complete the services you requested. We may also share it with our accountants, lawyers and insurers where they need it and are bound to keep it confidential, and with a buyer or successor if our business is ever sold or reorganized. We may disclose relevant information when official legal process requires it, for example a valid subpoena or court order.
Where your information is processed
Grizzly Beam LLC serves businesses in the United States. We do not offer our services to people in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or other countries outside the United States, and we do not monitor the behavior of people located there.
Your information is nonetheless handled in more than one country. Our website, our booking and form service and our server logs run on servers in Germany. Google processes our email and calendar in the data centers it operates in the United States and in other countries. Telegram processes our team notices on servers outside the United States.
If you are outside the United States and send us a form, a booking or an email, you are sending your information to us in the United States and to the providers above. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we will handle a request to see, correct or delete your information in the same way we handle one from a United States resident.
How long we keep information

Where the law requires us to keep something, we keep it for that period even if you ask us to delete it, and we will tell you when that is the case.
Do we use cookies?
Cookies are small files that a website stores on your computer's hard drive through your web browser. Cookies let a website recognize a particular browser, and capture and keep certain information.
Grizzly Beam LLC uses cookies only to remember the choice you make in our cookie banner, so that we do not ask you again on your next visit. We set them only after you use the banner, never before. The information these cookies hold contains nothing that identifies you personally, and it is not sent to Google or to anyone else.
Once you use the banner, the site sets three cookies that hold your choice, each for 365 days: viewed_cookie_policy, cookielawinfo-checkbox-necessary and CookieLawInfoConsent. Our Cookie Policy describes each of them, and you can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie preferences" link at the bottom of every page.
Beyond that, this website collects personally identifiable information in two ways only: when you deliberately submit it through a form, such as the one on our Contact page, and through our web server, which records the IP address and browser type of each visit as part of its normal operation.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signal. We do not sell personal information, do not share it for targeted advertising, and do not track visitors across other websites, so there is nothing for these signals to switch off on our site. Our site does not read them today. If we ever begin to sell or share personal information in that way, we will honor the Global Privacy Control signal as a valid opt-out and update this policy before we do.
Third-party websites
Our website may link to websites run by third parties. We have no control over those websites or what they contain, and each of them has its own separate privacy policy. For that reason we accept no responsibility or liability for them.
A link from our site is not an endorsement of that website, or of any information or product on it. If you decide to visit a third-party website linked from ours, you do so at your own discretion and risk.
How we keep your data secure
To keep data secure, make sure information is used properly, and keep it accurate, Grizzly Beam LLC has suitable practices in place to protect the information we collect online and offline. These cover both electronic and managerial measures, including:
- the whole website is served over HTTPS using TLS 1.2 or 1.3 only, and plain HTTP requests are redirected to HTTPS;
- forms and bookings travel to our server over that same encrypted connection;
- our booking and form service accepts only the fields each form is meant to send and rejects everything else;
- access to our server, mailbox, calendar and team channel is limited to the people who need it.
No method of sending or storing information over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If something goes wrong. If we learn of a security breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you, and any authority the law requires us to notify, within the time the law allows. Under Florida law that is no later than 30 days after we determine that a breach has occurred.
Protecting children's privacy online
Grizzly Beam LLC is committed to protecting children's privacy. We do not collect or keep information through our website from anyone we know to be under 13. Our website is not designed to appeal to anyone under 13, and it is not intended for users under 18.
If we learn that someone under 18 has submitted personal information through our website, we will delete it and will not use it for any purpose.
We encourage parents and legal guardians to talk with their children about the risks of sharing personal information online.
Marketing email
We do not send newsletters or marketing email, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you asked for an audit, sent an inquiry or booked a call. The only emails you receive from us are replies to you, the audit you asked for, and confirmations of the calls you book. We do not sell or rent your email address to anyone.
Automated decisions
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects on you, and we do not build profiles of you. Your free website audit is prepared by a person. The automatic checks described in How we use the information we collect only filter out spam and mistyped email addresses.
Client data we handle for our clients
When we build or maintain a website for a client, we may have access to personal information that belongs to that client's business, such as messages sent through the client's own contact form or records in the client's content management system.
In that case the client is the controller, and we act as its processor, called a "service provider" under California law. We use that information only on the client's instructions and only for the work we were hired to do. We do not sell it, do not use it for our own purposes, and do not keep it after the engagement unless the client asks us to.
If your information is held on one of our clients' websites, please contact that business directly, because it controls your information and can act on your request. If you contact us instead, we will pass your request on to the client and let you know that we have done so.
Your privacy choices and rights
You can use most of our website without giving us any personal information. You can also opt out of certain activities, either by emailing us to ask or by opting out within the activity itself.
Your rights
Several US states, including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah and Texas, give their residents rights over their personal information. Where such a law applies to us, we honor these rights for residents of that state. Where it does not, we will still honor a reasonable request in the same way.

How to make a request
Email hello@grizzlybeam.com with "Privacy" in the subject line. Tell us which right you want to use and give us the email address you used with us, so that we can find your records. We may ask for information to confirm your identity, and we will use it only for that purpose.
We will respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why within those 45 days and take no more than 45 further days.
You may ask someone else to make a request for you. We will ask that person for your written permission and may ask you to confirm it directly.
If we turn down your request, we will explain why. You can appeal by replying to our decision with the word "Appeal". We will answer your appeal within 60 days, and if we still turn it down, we will tell you how to contact your state attorney general.

We collect this information from you, from your browser, and from public information about a website you asked us to audit, for the purposes listed in How we use the information we collect. We disclose it only to the service providers and for the reasons listed in Who we share information with. We have not sold or shared personal information for targeted advertising in the past 12 months, and we have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing the information of anyone under 16. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing, as California's "Shine the Light" law (Civil Code section 1798.83) describes.
